About the Co-Founders
Nathan Gilbert
For the past decade, I have focused on connecting with and developing insurance agencies across Texas. Through my work with my own agency and more than 30 others, my mission has been to build highly efficient, client-focused operations that leverage technology to create a smoother, more informed experience for individuals choosing their insurance policies.
Building on that foundation, I launched Artisan Roofing- a company created with the same principles of innovation, transparency, and customer care. Artisan Roofing is a tech-forward, homeowner-focused, and highly experienced organization backed by the resources and expertise of proven business leaders. I bring over eight years of experience in roofing, general contracting, and residential construction to Artisan Roofing Co., with a focus on operations, project management, and sustainable growth. Throughout my career, I’ve built high-performing teams, streamlined systems, and transformed fast-paced construction environments into efficient, client-centered operations.
At my core, I’m an operations leader who believes exceptional service starts behind the scenes. From implementing workflows and CRMs to building SOPs and training programs, I create the structure companies need to scale without sacrificing quality or customer experience. I lead hands-on, working closely with our team to strengthen operations and ensure every client feels informed and confident.
I co-founded Artisan Roofing Co. to raise the standard in an industry that often carries the wrong reputation. Roofing and restoration can feel overwhelming for homeowners, and my goal is to deliver a transparent, white-glove experience from start to finish.
As a homeowner, wife, and mom—and a woman business owner in a traditionally male-dominated industry—I lead with integrity, empathy, and grit. My mission is simple: to build a company that is structured, trustworthy, and built to last, while serving every client with the care I’d expect for my own home.
Stephen Banks
I hold a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences (BAAS) degree from Midwestern State University and studied mechanical engineering for 3 years. My journey in the construction industry began in 2006, fueled by a deep passion for both residential and commercial construction. My early carpentry work provided a foundation for my college education while honing my attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
For the past 10 years, I have served as a Site Superintendent in the commercial sector, overseeing multiple licensed crews across various multimillion-dollar projects. I have managed every phase of construction, from foundation and groundwork to roofing. I pride myself on clearly and effectively communicating with all stakeholders, from owners and architects to the skilled tradespeople on-site. My approach is simple: if you can dream it, I can build it.
Co-founding Artisan Roofing was driven by a vision to bring people’s dreams to life. I am passionate about fostering a company built on strong values and integrity, one that clients can trust to deliver quality craftsmanship the first time, every time.
Outside of my professional life, I am a devoted husband and father. My wife and I have been happily married since 2012, and we have two wonderful children. In my free time, I enjoy playing in the church band, escaping to the mountains, and spending quality time with my family.
Above all, I am driven by a love for people and a deep commitment to the team at Artisan Roofing.
